If you don't live in NC look for legal advise elsewhere. Some of the advise is Bad advise and most like result in you loosing your case and paying extra court fees.
I have learned a lot from this book. It has everything you need to know about renting. I wish I have read this book earlier.
What I like about the book is that you see right from the beginning that it's written by an attorney. The author obviously knows the common problems tenants encounter with their landlords and gives useful advice on how to prevent them and, if they do arise, how to deal with them in a legally efficient way. Some procedures may be specific for North Carolina, but for the most part the book is a treasure of useful information that every tenant should have and consult on a regular basis.
For the record, I wouldn't suggest representing yourself, based on any book pertaining to the law, but after reading this book you will attempt to do just that Lol 😉
From clauses on how to get and keep your deposit 💰to your rights on, maintaining access to your property 🏠during an eviction process. This book 📘was evidence that this attorney is the bomb.com 💣
